Castle Coch
Castle Coch, on the outskirts of Cardiff, is the ultimate fairytale castle. It’s conical towers and needle-sharp turrets peek out from a wooded slope, presenting a vision more in tune with the Bavarian countryside, the pages of Sleeping Beauty, or even the Studios of Walt Disney than a Welsh hillside. It is, of course, a romantic fantasy, a late 19th century creation, inspired by the spirit of the Victorian Age.

The Snowdonia National Park
The Snowdonia National Park, which has the evocative Welsh name of 'Eryri' meaning ' the place of the eagles', is an area of outstanding natural beauty covering 838 square miles and containing some of the most magnificent scenery in Wales. Situated on the west coast of Britain, Snowdonia National Park is a living working area, home to over 26,000 people. As well as being the largest National Park in Wales, Snowdonia boasts the highest mountain in England and Wales, and the largest natural lake in Wales, as well as a wealth of picturesque villages like Betws y Coed and Beddgelert. Snowdonia is an area steeped in culture and local history, where more than half its population speaks Welsh.

Caernarfon Castle
Caernarvon, built by Edward I around 1283, is architecturally one of the most impressive of all of the castles in Wales. It's defensive capabilities were not as overt or as powerful as those of Edward I's other castles such as Harlech and Beaumaris (which indicate the pinnacle of castle building and defenses in Britain), but Caernarvon was instead intended as a seat of power - and as a symbol of English dominance over the subdued Welsh. Since around the time the Prince of Wales (today, it's Charles) has been crowned in this castle.
Caernarvon is located at the southern end of the Menai Strait between north Wales and Anglesey, 8 miles south west of Bangor.

Conwy Castle
It stands at the front of the River Conwy in Conwy North Wales. The castle was constructed during the time of King Edward I of England as share of his ‘iron ring’ to enclose the Welsh uprisings from the mountains of Snowdonia. Conwy Castle was built on a natural rock formation giving it fine height over the nearby town and the castle consists of six towers enclosing the curtain wall.
